PowerColor, a Taiwan-based graphics card company, has stepped into the gaming world and has listed its latest Radeon RX6900 XT LC model on the website. PowerColor has sent a bold message to companies like AMD and Nvidia that the graphics card industry has a new competitor.
According to a Japanese leakster @momomo_us, PowerColor Radeon RX 6900 XT LC will feature a hybrid cooling design with a single fan and a 120mm external radiator. The liquid cooling system is located on top of the GPU and memory. It’s unknown who created the liquid cooling at the moment, but PowerColor might have joined up with Cooler Master, who built the liquid cooling technology for AMD’s latest flagship, the Radeon RX Vega 64 Liquid Edition.
In the pre-launch review, PowerColor confirmed that the graphics card will feature Navi 21 XTXH GPU, 2250 MHz game clock, 2435 MHz boost clock, and 18 Gbps GDDR6 memory.
Pricing and availability remain a big question. There were speculations that this model would only be available through system integrators, but as the recent leaks suggest, that may no longer be the case.
Last year AMD has released three new graphics cards under the Radeon RX 6000 series: AMD Radeon RX 6800, AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, and its new flagship AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT. AMD claimed that Radeon RX 6900 XT is the fastest gaming graphics card AMD has ever developed. We will have to wait and see if PowerColor will be on par with the tech giants in the graphics card industry.
