POCO Global announced a few days ago that its upcoming POCO M3 Pro 5G smartphone will be available on May 19th. The presence of a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC on the smartphone has already been confirmed by the company. POCO executives revealed in an interview with Android Central that the upcoming POCO M3 Pro 5G will be the first POCO M-series device to feature a high refresh rate display. The company has now taken to social media to announce that the upcoming smartphone will have a display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The social media post also confirms that the POCO M3 Pro display will be FHD+ with a dot-notch.
Specifications and Features of the POCO M3 Pro 5G
The POCO M3 Pro is expected to have a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a dot-notch. POCO has also confirmed that the DynamicSwitch feature will be available on the POCO M3 Pro display. Depending on the content, this feature allows the display to switch between 30, 50, 60, and 90Hz refresh rates.
The smartphone will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor manufactured on a 7nm process. The POCO M3 Pro is also said to have more RAM and faster storage than the regular POCO M3. As a result, we can expect the POCO M3 Pro to come with UFS 2.2 storage and only 6GB of RAM.
Leaked renders of the smartphone surfaced on the web earlier this week, revealing the presence of a triple-rear camera setup. The smartphone will have a black vertical island around the rectangular camera module, with POCO branding inside. The renders also show a fingerprint scanner on the device’s side. The upcoming POCO M-series smartphone will be available in three colour options: black, yellow, and blue.
POCO M3 Pro 5G was discovered on the IMEI database some time ago, revealing that it is a rebadged Redmi Note 10 5G. We can expect it to have a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. It could have an 8MP front-facing camera, similar to the Redmi Note 10 5G. The smartphone should boot MIUI 12.5, which is based on Android 11. The M3 Pro could have a 5000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging via a Type-C port. What are your thoughts on the POCO M3 Pro 5G?
