Due to the ongoing Coronavirus lockdown in India and other countries, companies including Realme, Samsung, and OnePlus have already announced warranty extensions. POCO and Vivo are the latest smartphone companies to expand the warranty on their devices.
While Vivo India has extended the time period to 1 month, on the other hand, POCO India has extended the warranty period by 2 months.
Earlier today, POCO India tweeted about how the past few months have been difficult because of the ongoing pandemic situation. The tweet said that “if your warranty is expiring in May or June this year then we have extended the warranty of your product by two months”.
Furthermore, POCO India has decided that they will not be conducting any launch in May 2021, as they will be waiting for the situation to get better.
While Vivo India announced that “if the expiry date of product warranty period, replacement period or other offers fall under lockdown period of your state, you will get a 30-day extension calculated from the day when a service center resumes business.”
The company has also offered a Handset pickup and drop service available to their customers looking at the current situation.
These are harsh times and we urge you to stay home and stay safe.
