Sony to Restock PlayStation 5 in India on 26 August – Since the PS4’s debut in 2014, Sony has sold approximately 550,000 units. PlayStation 5 made its way to the Indian market on 2nd February 2021, and since then sales of the PS5 have surpassed 20,000 units. This includes grey market and lateral imports available since the PS5 globally launched in November 2020 making it the fastest-selling console in history.
Now, Sony’s own retail arm, ShopAtSC has shared the new PS5 restock date, which suggests the console will the market once again on 26th August 2021. However, Sony aims to get out the majority of its supply in time for Diwali and the Christmas season, so this supply will be limited in quantity.
There is also a chance for PlayStation 5 to get restocked in a newer model. According to rumors, the PS5 will come with a modified screw design that allows users to unscrew or screw in the stand without any tool. The new designs will be available in both the Digital Edition and the traditional PS5, with one of the most notable differences being that the new model will weigh 300g less than the previous model.
