Google has officially announced the dates and times for the much-anticipated Pixel launch event. The event will be held on October 19th this year at 10 AM PT or 10:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST). This was announced through a tweet on their official Twitter account, @madebygoogle.
Google had already given us official design renders of the smartphone earlier this year. Those design leaks may have helped Google a lot because now Google is receiving hype for this event like never before. What adds to the excitement though is that the Pixel this year will be powered by Tensor. Tensor is Google’s first-ever smartphone processing chip and they could be a winner here. The chip will be AI-focused with Material You and Artificial Intelligence at its core.
As expected, the Google Pixel 6 & Pixel 6 Pro is only launching in 8 countries, at least for now.

The phone is not launching in India at the moment. Plus, of course, we’re still waiting for Google to formally announce when it’ll release Android 12. We’ve already reviewed the update, of course, but Google was only willing to say that a push to Pixel devices will begin in the “next few weeks.”
We have an exciting launch event ahead of us and it will be very interesting to see this new generation of devices and especially how they compare to other flagships out there!
