Oppo is reportedly in the works to expand its popular Reno lineup with a new set of phones. We are talking about the Oppo Reno7 series, which comes as a successor to the Reno6 series launched a couple of months back. Last month, a reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station revealed some key details about the phone, and now he’s back with some important details about the cameras.
According to the tipster, the Oppo Reno7 series will use a relatively large camera sensor. The vanilla Reno7 is tipped to feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera sensor with a 1/1.56” sensor size, while the Reno6 and Reno6 Pro pack an OmniVision OV64B primary sensor. So, the Reno7 series will bring a major upgrade to the camera department.
The same Chinese tipster previously revealed that the Reno7 series launch is imminent. The standard version will offer a punch-hole cutout located at the upper-left side to house the selfie shooter. The phone is said to have an improved chin and a right-angled metal middle frame. Oppo Reno7 is tipped to feature a triple camera setup on the rear side, with a circle of small lights around the lens module.
Oppo Reno7 is said to be complete with Vivo S12. It means that the launch of the new Vivo S-series phone is also right around the corner. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about the Reno7 series in the coming weeks.
