OPPO Reno 7 Pro: League of Legends Edition Launched

It’s only been a couple of weeks since OPPO launched its Reno 7 series of smartphones. Nevertheless, the company has already announced its next collaboration with Riot Games to design its Reno 7 Pro: League of Legends Special Edition smartphone, sold exclusively in the Chinese market.

Starting with the design, the Reno 7 Pro League of Legends Edition comes with a fresh paint job inspired by the League of Legends character Jinx. It features a dual-tone matte finish at the back and colour shifting accents around the device’s frame. And like the OPPO Reno 7 Pro, it also gets a glowing LED around the camera, which doubles up as an LED notification light.

Apart from that, the OPPO Reno7 Pro League of Legends edition smartphone ships inside a special missile-shaped box containing goodies from the game, including a Jinx-inspired smartphone cover and a special 65W charger, a couple of lanyards, and a bunch of stickers inside the box.

However, the actual specifications of the phone itself are no different from the standard version, which features an Octa-Core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, a 6.55-inch 90Hz FHD+ AMOLED screen, along with a 4,500mAh battery and a triple-camera setup, featuring Sony’s 50MP IMX766 sensor for its primary camera.

OPPO’s League of Legends-inspired phone will only be available in one configuration, which features 12GB of RAM plus 256 GB of fast UFS 3.1 storage. The first batch of the phone is expected to be limited to only 10,000 units. It’s still unconfirmed whether the phone will be made available to the international markets outside China.

Overall, the OPPO Reno 7 Pro League of Legends edition seems like nothing but a fresh paint job that offers plenty of visual changes to the standard Reno 7 Pro on the outside while offering no changes to the actual hardware inside the smartphone. The smartphone will go on sale in China starting December 10 for 3,999 Yuan, which equals approximately Rs 47,473.
