Oppo has launched the Reno 5A in Japan. The new smartphone features a quad rear camera, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, a Full-HD+ display, and more. Let us take a look at the specifications, pricing, and features.
Oppo Reno 5A Specifications
The Oppo Reno 5A sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 90Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, the display supports a touch sampling rate of up to 180Hz and has a pixel density of up to 405ppi.
The Oppo Reno 5A is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC paired with upto 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
As for the optics, there’s a quad rear camera setup consisting of a primary 64-megapixel sensor coupled with an f/1.7 lens, a secondary 8-megapixel camera sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, a tertiary 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter On the front, there’s a 16-megapixel camera sensor at the front paired with an f/2.0 lens.
The Reno 5A runs on Android 11-based ColorOS on top. Additionally, the phone comes with IP68 certification, which makes it dust and water-resistant.
Other connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm headphone jack. A pedometer, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and proximity sensor are all included onboard. There’s a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics and security.
Under the hood, there’s a 4,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging over QuickCharge and USB Power Delivery (PD) standards.
Oppo Reno 5A Pricing and Availability:
There is no word yet on the price of the Oppo Reno 5A. The phone will be available in Japan early next June in two colors: Ice Blue and Silver Black. The company hasn’t revealed details about the international availability of the smartphone at the time of filing this story.
