A new Oppo smartphone with model number PEYM00 was recently spotted in the TENAA database. It revealed the phone’s specifications but the phone’s design was a mystery. Now, the TENAA listing for PEYM00 has been updated with images, which shows a large camera housing on the back, which looks similar to the Poco M3.
The rear camera module has a large-sized text which reads “09-K Pro”. It reveals that the Oppo PEYM00 belongs to the company’s K-series phone and may launch as Oppo K9 Pro. The vanilla Oppo K9 was launched in May this year in China. According to a Weibo tipster, the Oppo K9 Pro could launch as a rebranded Realme GT Neo. The tipster’s claim is backed by the fact that Realme GT Neo has been removed from the official store. And, the K9 Pro will come as a rebrand of that phone.
Notably, the TENAA specs of Oppo K9 Pro matches with Realme GT Neo which adds weight to the rebranding rumor. As seen in the TENAA listing, Oppo K9 Pro (PEYM00) has a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels FullHD+ resolution, and a 20:9 refresh rate. The phone packs a 4,400mAh rated capacity battery which could support 65W fast charging.
Oppo K9 Pro is powered by a 3.0GHz octa-core processor which could be MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. The phone will come in 8GB /12GB RAM options and 128GB / 256GB storage options. It has a triple camera setup on the back which consists of 64MP + 8MP + 2MP sensors. On the front, it will feature a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calling.
As of now, Oppo has no words regarding the launch or availability of the Oppo K9 Pro. But, rumors are that the smartphone may launch as early as this month. We’ll have more details once the company starts teasing the device.
