Oppo is reportedly set to enter the foldable phone market soon. The rumor mill suggests that the company’s first foldable phone could be called Oppo Fold. Thanks to leaks/rumors, we already have some possible specifications of the Oppo Fold, and now the launch date timeline has been tipped by a Chinese tipster.
According to the tipster Bald Panda, Oppo will launch its first foldable phone next month. It will probably debut in the home market, China, and then a global launch. The tipster also reveals that the device will feature an inward folding design, like the Galaxy Z Fold2, Galaxy Z Fold3. The phone is said to come with an 8-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It may be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, which could be paired with 8GB/12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.
Recent reports suggest that the alleged Oppo Fold will pack a 4500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. The handset will reportedly come with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor on the rear side. It could be equipped with a 32MP front-facing camera. The foldable phone is rumored to boot ColorOS 12 skin, based on Android 11.
