After months of speculations and leaks leading up to this day, Oppo finally unveiled its latest lineup of flagship smartphones, the Oppo Find X5 Pro and Find X5 at the MWC 2022 event that was held in Barcelona.

The Oppo Find X5 Pro being the Oppo’s latest flagship offering for 2022, comes with the new Hasselblad-tuned cameras and Oppo’s custom MariSilicon IPU (image processing unit) chip for image processing. Whereas, there’s also a regular Oppo Find X5 that skips some extra features in favour of a lower price tag.

Oppo Find X5 Pro is a pretty high-end flagship with similarly high-end specs. Processor wise, the Oppo Find X5 Pro can be configured to feature the most latest MediaTek Dimensity 9000 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, all powered by a pretty huge 5000mAh battery that supports upto 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

Apart from that, the flagship experience also makes its way to the exterior of the device. On the front there’s a 6.7-inch 10-bit 1440p+ LTPO AMOLED display with support for variable refresh rate upto 120Hz, and maximum peak brightness of 1300 nits. Furthermore, the Find X5 has a great built quality with it’s screen protected with Gorilla Glass Victus along with IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

That said, the main signature feature of this the Oppo Find X5 Pro is its Hasselblad certified camera which includes a 50MP main as well as ultra-wide camera, both having the same Sony IMX766 1/1.56-inch sensor along with a secondary 13MP telephoto sensor. Additionally, the Main sensor is stabilized by OIS, whereas the ultra-wide camera is stabilized by Opps’s new proprietary 5-axis stabilisation system.

The Oppo Find X5 which is the cheaper version of X5 Pro ships with older Snapdragon 888 instead of the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in combination with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Oppo Find X5 is also slightly smaller with a 6.55” OLED display, that offers a resolution of 1,080×2,400p along with support for refresh rate as high as 120Hz.

Apart from that, the Oppo Find X5 is powered by a bit smaller 4800mAh battery which supports 80W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. Meanwhile, The back of the Oppo Find X5 is covered with a matte glass instead of the stronger ceramic layer found on the X5 Pro.

As for its camera setup, the Oppo Find X5 rocks a pretty similar Hasselblad certified camera setup found on the X5 Pro. This includes two 50MP Sony IMX766 sensors for the main and ultrawide cameras along with a 13MP telephoto sensor on the rear. Meanwhile, the front of the device features a older IMX615 sensor.

Pricing & Availability

As for the pricing and availability, the Oppo Find X5 Pro will be available in two configurations. The Dimensity 9000 variant with 12GB of RAM + 256GB of storage is priced at CNY 5799 (approx. Rs 68,912) and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variant with the same RAM + storage configuration is priced at CNY 6299 (approx. Rs 74,852).

Whereas, the non pro Oppo Find X5 which is priced at Rs 84,500 will only be available in one configuration with Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with 8GB RAM + 256GB of storage. Furthermore, Oppo will let you choose between three colours including Ceramic White and Glaze Black with the third being Aqua Blue which will be an Oppo Find X5 Pro exclusive.
