The list of companies that have extended their warranties continues to grow, with Oppo the latest to do so. All products and accessories will maintain their warranty through June 30, 2021, according to the company. This offer is valid on all products whose warranties would otherwise expire during the lockdown period. Here’s everything you need to know.
As part of the second wave of the pandemic, recent surges in COVID-19 cases have prompted the move. In addition, the company has announced that all of its service centers will be closed until the lockdown is lifted in different parts of the country as per Government directives. Accessories including chargers, data cables, and earphones are also eligible for the warranty extension.
Note that this specific warranty extension is available only for products whose normal warranty ended during the lockdown period. The extension lasts just a month.
The company has launched a real-time service status checking system on WhatsApp to help customers in need. “The customers can check the status of the operations real-time via WhatsApp on +91-9871502777 for overall effectiveness,” says Oppo.
According to Oppo, the company’s WhatsApp support team will be available 24 by 7 for its users.
“In addition to this, the aftersales customer service support of Oppo India is providing all its users the best remote support in this difficult time through a dedicated AI-powered Chatbot called ‘Ollie’ that is available 24X7 for consumers to resolve 94.5 percent of their queries,” says Oppo.
Customers can also contact Oppo online teams through Facebook and Twitter for basic software and troubleshooting issues. As part of its support to the government, Oppo has recently donated 300 Oppo Band Trackers to the Cyberabad Police.
