OPPO Shares Launch Date Of ColorOS 12 For Devices in India

OPPO ColorOS 12

OPPO revealed ColorOS 12 back in September as a China-exclusive update. Later next month, the company launched the Global Beta rollout of ColorOS 12. Finally, OPPO has shared details about the beta rollout and the stable rollout of the software for specific devices in India (via XDA).

Reno5 Pro 5G and the F19 Pro+ will receive ColorOS 12 beta build from 10 December, and the A74 5G will get it on 28 December. It is a batch-by-batch update, and so, there might be some users who will receive the update earlier than others. Also, ColorOS 12 is based on Android 12, and this beta build might have bugs. So be aware before updating to a beta build on your primary device.

Next, we have Stable ColorOS 12 based on Android 12, rolling out for OPPO Find X2 on 20 December, followed by Reno 6 Pro 5G Diwali Edition and the Reno 6 Pro 5G on the 22 December. Lastly, on 28 December, the Reno 6 5G will receive stable ColorOS 12 update.

Again, remember it is an update that will be rolled out in batches, some users might receive it earlier, and some users might not even get a notification. If that is the case with you, you can go into the Software Update section in the Settings menu of your device and manually check for updates.

We always recommend that users wait for a certain period before updating to the latest software build, as the update usually has a few bugs and glitches quite often. If it isn’t your primary device, sure, go ahead and update it and report the bugs you find so that the company is aware and gets them fixed.
