Without creating much hype, OnePlus has launched the affordable Nord N20 5G smartphone in North America. It’s a successor to the last year’s Nord N10 5G which has Snapdragon 690 SoC, 64MP quad cameras, and an IPS LCD panel. The latest Nord phone has a slightly better chipset, an improved design, and an AMOLED display.

OnePlus Nord N20 5G price and availability

OnePlus Nord N20 5G has been launched in North America for $282. It will be available exclusively on T-Mobile and Metro from April 28. The smartphone has been launched in a single blue colour. Also, it only comes in a single memory configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Design

OnePlus Nord N20 5G looks better than its predecessor. It has a flat AMOLED screen with a small punch-hole cutout on the upper-left side for a selfie camera. The device appears to have a boxy design. Around the back, there are two large circular cutouts for two camera sensors. Two small cutouts are also there. One housing the sensor and the other for LED flash.

Specifications

The smartphone sports a 6.43-inch FullHD+ AMOLED screen with a punch-hole cutout for a 16MP selfie snapper. One thing you might not like about the Nord N20 5G is the 60Hz refresh rate support. Also, there’s no alert slider button. The OnePlus phone features a triple camera setup on the back that includes a 64MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP depth shooter.

Despite coming in April 2022, the OnePlus Nord N20 5G does not ship with Android 12 OS. You get the Android 11 on the phone. So, Android 12 would be counted as the first major OS upgrade, which should not be the case with new phones. Furthermore, the OnePlus phone packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 SoC is present at the helm of the OnePlus phone. The chipset is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Thankfully, there’s a microSD card slot for additional storage. Connectivity features include 5G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
