OnePlus held its first major event of 2021. At the event, the company unveiled its most affordable smartphone, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G, as well as a new Android smart TV series called Oneplus TV U1S.

The new OnePlus Nord CE is a mid-range “Core Edition” device that adds a few new features to the original Nord, such as a larger battery and a 3.5mm jack. It is also less expensive, with prices starting at Rs 22,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant. On the other hand, the OnePlus TV U1s features three screen sizes – 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch, each offering 4K picture quality. Let’s jump into a bit more detailed specifications of the above.

The specifications of The OnePlus Nord CE include a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a refresh rate of 90Hz. It also packs a 4,500mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T, a Snapdragon 750G 5G SoC, up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Other than that, the camera comes with a 16MP front shooter, a triple rear shooter with 64MP resolution, and three new colours: Blue Void (light blue with dark blue accents), Charcoal Ink (basically black), and Silver Ray.

Preorders for the phone begin tomorrow, with sales starting on June 16 on OnePlus India and all other popular e-commerce platforms.

OnePlus TV U1S Price and Specifications

The OnePlus TV U1S has a 4k resolution with MEMC to improve the appearance of low-resolution content. It features three screen sizes – 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch. It includes 30W speakers with low distortion for improved clarity. It supports the OnePlus webcam and allows you to make video calls, including Google Duo calls. However, you will need to purchase a webcam separately.

The new OnePlus TVs include the ‘Speak Now’ feature, which allows you to use ‘Ok Google’ from a distance. It also offers OxygenPlay 2.0 as the new TV software interface, which includes a new Gamma Engine to handle blacks, image noise, and fine details. It also has a new colour engine for more natural details, as well as OxygenConnect 2.0, which will help to evolve OnePlus’ ecosystem play.

The OnePlus TV U1s will be available starting tonight for Rs 39,999, Rs 47,999, and Rs 62,999 for the three screen sizes, respectively.
