OnePlus has been in the negative limelight for a while now with many OnePlus Nord 2 5G exploding. It was reported back in August that a user’s 5-day-old OnePlus Nord 2 Exploded inside her sling bag while she was riding a bike.
The allegation was made by Ankur Sharma in the form of a tweet (which is now deleted). As per Ankur, his wife’s 5-day-old OnePlus Nord 2 exploded out of nowhere while she was out for a bike ride. The explosion quickly resulted in smoke coming out of the OnePlus Nord 2, which was kept in her sling bag at the time.

And then soon, again after a few days, a second Nord 2 exploded, this time in a lawyer’s pocket.
Advocate Gaurav Gulati claimed that he was sitting in his chamber on Wednesday morning when he started feeling the heat in his gown’s pocket. Shortly after sensing heat on his lower body, he took out the OnePlus Nord 2 5G he had in his pocket and saw smoke coming out of it, finally leading to the device exploding.
The user said that he would sue OnePlus for the explosion of the device and has also filed an FIR against the company.
After reports of at least two phones exploding, apparently, now another user’s OnePlus Warp charger has exploded, while he was charging his OnePlus Nord 2.
After all of these incidents, OnePlus is still stuck with blaming external factors for the explosions rather than taking responsibility for it.
If you presently own a OnePlus Nord 2 and want to be safe, we would recommend you to get yourself a slower 30W charger rather than using the 65W one that you get with the phone. Fast charging produces more heat output, resulting in higher temperatures which is the biggest reason for battery damage, which can also lead to a fire.
