It has been a year since OnePlus revealed to the public its collaboration with OPPO, as well as the news that the two companies share R&D and design teams. We’re witnessing more parallels between their devices than ever before – the Nord range is a perfect example, as is the claimed render of the OPPO Reno8, which looks a lot like the OnePlus 10 Pro. Now it appears that both firms will be sharing one more item – a foldable smartphone. It may come as a shock, but OnePlus is working on a foldable phone that will be quite similar to the OPPO Find N.
OnePlus is working on a foldable smartphone, according to a recent PriceBaba article by Yogesh Brar. According to the rumours, it will be the same as the OPPO Find N, which was released in December of last year. Because the Find N has yet to leave China, it looks to be a wise option to sell it outside of the country under the OnePlus brand, which has a better reputation in the United States and Europe than OPPO.
Oppo Find N specifications
When compared to other foldable handsets on the market, the Oppo Find N has a number of intriguing specs. The device comes with a 5.49-inch front/outer display which has an aspect ratio of 18:9, ensuring a slight hand feel. The tablet has a display, or larger screen size of 7-inches in size and supports an aspect ratio of 8.4:9.
The Oppo Find N has a triple rear camera configuration on the back and comes with a waterdrop notch on the front with a single camera sensor for selfies and video calls. The Flexion Hinge, brings together 136 components with extraordinary accuracy of up to 0.01 mm, guaranteeing the hinge operates as smoothly as the joints in the human body are included in the foldable gadget.
The Oppo Find N is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Mobile Platform, which is combined with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone is packed with a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 33W SUPERVOOC Flash Charger, which is optimized to charge to 55 percent in 30 minutes and to 100 percent in 70 minutes as claimed by Oppo. The gadget also supports 15W AIRVOOC wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
The gadget has a 3D-curved shape on both exterior sides to improve hand comfort while maintaining a sleek appearance. The back cover and camera module include the Find X3’s fluid curve design language, as well as compatibility for the Gorilla Glass Victus and ceramic camera plate combination. It is available in three colours namely black, white, and purple.
When will the OnePlus foldable smartphone be released?
According to reports, it is unlikely that the Oppo Find N will release this year. According to a leaked OnePlus roadmap, the firm plans to release six smartphones this year, none of which will be foldable. So, we may not see it until 2023, but there is still a chance that OnePlus may release it as “one more thing” this year. So sit tight and wait for further information about the OnePlus’ foldable smartphone.
