HMD Global is reportedly in the works to launch at least two affordable 5G phones soon – Nokia X100 and G300. While we wait for an official announcement, a fresh leak by NokiaPowerUser has left nothing to be imagined, except the pricing and of course the launch date.
The device has a flat display with U-shaped cutout to house the selfie camera. Bezels at the bottom are quite thick than at on the other side. It features a circular camera module that consists of three sensors and an extra cutout for the LED flash unit. Leaked images show the Nokia G300 5G in grey color, however, we can expect it to be offered in more colour variants.
Nokia G300 5G is not a successor of any Nokia phone. It is likely a new lineup of affordable 5G phone from HMD Global. The smartphone has a TFT display which measures about 6.5-inch. The panel has a resolution of 720 × 1600 pixels and 386PPI pixel density.
The triple cameras on the back includes a 16MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth unit. It is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps. Up on the front, there’s an 8MP selfie shooter. The device is powered by Snapdragon 480 SoC, an affordable 5G chipset. The SoC is paired with 64GB, plus it supports storage expansion of up to 1TB.
Nokia G300 5G is packed with a 4,470mAh battery, which can offer up to 14.4 hours of talk time. It is unclear, whether or not the phone supports fast charging. HMD Global has set a launch event on October 6, where we might see the Nokia G300 5G, Nokia tablet, and couple of more products.
