Motorola Moto G 5G: Cheapest 5G Phone?

Highlights:

The Motorola Moto G 5G is an all-rounder device with a good chipset, screen quality, and battery life than its competitors at this price point. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the power button and the device also has a dedicated Google Assistant button. Moto G 5G comes with a long 21:9 screen with a 6.7-inch FullHD resolution and 90Hz refresh rate panel and a dual front-facing camera.  The phone will be priced at Rs.29,490 [approx]

Moto G 5G Design:

The Moto G 5G dimensions are 168x74x9mm which makes it thick and large compared to the previously launched Moto G8 Plus, the phone weighs 207 grams which is a little heavy compared to an average smartphone. On the front side, the display is an 84.3% screen-to-body ratio with a dual punch-hole camera cutout. On the back panel, there is square shaped quad-camera setup paired with a large flash module and Motorola logo branding the rear panel is made out of plastic but feels sturdy compared to other plastic phones. Moto G 5G has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge on the far top of the device which little hard to reach on the left side there is a dedicated Google Assistant button, The device has a USB Type-C port that supports 20W fast-charging along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is only available in one color blue.

Moto G 5G Display:

The Moto g 5G has a 21:9 screen which is hard to fit in a pocket but as it is a thin device it is easy to hold in hand and good for media consumption, the screen measures a 6.7-inch 1080×2520 FullHD 90hz display with HDR10 support that provides a good dynamic range and screen look nice in general, you can also turn down the refresh rate to 60Hz if you want to save some battery life but battery life is good enough for the user to run it on 90hz.

Moto G 5G Camera:

The Moto G 5G has a quad-camera set up a back and dual punch-hole camera on the front side, on the front, there is a 16-Megapixel f/2.0 selfie camera paired with 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, photos look good in decent lighting condition, however, in low lighting condition the camera suffers a bit there a beauty mode available for both cameras, On the rear side, there is 48-megapixel f/1.7 primary camera, 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, 5-megapixel f/2.2 macro lens, and 2-megapixel f/2.2 depth lens. The photos look well detailed with decent color and contrast ratio. There is no optical zoom option. The device support up to 4K video recording

Moto G 5G performance:

The Moto G 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset and Adreno 620 GPU paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.1 storage which can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot, the device packs a 5,000 mAh battery that can easily last a whole day. The Moto G 5G scored 1822 in the benchmark test which is good for a phone at this price point. The speakers are average so don’t expect anything great.
