Motorola Edge 30 Ultra (or Edge X) Specs Leak: 60MP Selfie Camera, 68W Fast Charging, and More

Motorola Moto Edge X could be the company’s next flagship phone, whose arrival was confirmed yesterday. The company has not announced a launch date yet. However, reports suggest that it could be unveiled at the end of this year. According to a report from TechnikNews, the Motorola Edge X could launch as Edge 30 Ultra in global markets except for China. The German publication has also revealed the specifications, suggesting that it is indeed a flagship phone from the Lenovo-owned company.

According to the report, the Motorola Edge X (or Edge 30 Ultra) will be powered by the Qualcomm chip code-named “SM8450”. It will reportedly be called the Snapdragon 898 SoC. The device may come with a 6.67-inch FullHD+ OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. It could be offered in 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage with no option to expand the memory.

The Motorola phone will reportedly feature a 60MP punch-hole selfie camera with support for 4k video recording. Around the back, it is said to feature a triple camera setup that may include a 50MP OmniVision OV50A primary sensor, a 50MP Samsung JN150 ultrawide lens, and a 2MP OmniVision OV20B1B depth sensor.

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra will reportedly pack a 5000mAh battery. The device bears the model number “XT-2201”, whose variant “XT2201-2” was recently spotted on the 3C certification site with 68W fast charging support. It is expected to take just 35 minutes to fill the battery from 0 to 100%. The handset supports reverse wireless charging and is unlikely to have support for wireless charging. It will boot Android 12 out of the box.

The Motorola device will reportedly feature an IP52 rating, 5G, WLAN 6, USB Type-C port, and Bluetooth 5.2. While smartphone companies are skipping the charger, the upcoming Motorola flagship will come with a 68W fast charger inside the retail box. It will receive one major OS upgrade in China, while other markets will receive two major OS upgrades.
