Microsoft is all set to officially launch Microsoft Office 2021 and its brand new operating system, Windows 11 next week. However, we are now seeing reports that they may also launch a new model of their Surface laptops next week. A new report about some leaks of this upcoming Surface Pro 8 has leaked through what looks like a retail advertisement of the product.

The leaked image shows some major features of the upcoming Surface Pro 8. The leak claims the Surface Pro 8 will ship with a new 13-inch 120Hz display with narrow bezels and two Thunderbolt ports. We had heard leaks earlier about the Surface Pro 8 shipping without USB-A ports but with USB-C and thunderbolt ports instead and this new leak seems to agree with that.

This leak also shows that the new Surface will feature removable SSDs which will make it easier to switch out the Solid State Drive inside the device. We have already seen this with the Surface Laptop 4, Surface Pro X, and the business-only Surface Pro 7 Plus but now it should be featured in the Surface Pro 8 too. The devices are also expected to ship with Windows 11 pre-installed.

The leaked images we received previously suggest the biggest change will be a triple camera system, complete with telephoto, ultrawide angle, and standard lenses. The Surface Duo 2 is also rumored to include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 processor, 5G support, and an NFC chip for contactless payments.

As for the pricing we have no real information. We do have official information about the date of the event though. Microsoft has officially sent invites to the event and it is scheduled for September 22nd. Microsoft may have a huge event on the date and is expected to launch the Surface Pro 8 alongside a Surface Go 3, a newly designed Surface Book 4, an updated Surface Pro X, and the successor to the Android-powered Surface Duo.

Microsoft is heading for some major tech launches in the coming weeks and it will be very interesting to see their new generation devices!
