Microsoft is reportedly in the works to launch the Surface Duo 2, as a successor to the last year’s Surface Duo. Past leaks have shown us how the second generation of Surface Duo looks like. However, the specifications were unknown until today. The device has been spotted on benchmarking site Geekbench with key specifications.
According to the Geekbench listing, Microsoft Surface Duo 2 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with Adreno 660 GPU. The phone has been listed with 8GB RAM, however, it may be offered in more RAM variants as well. When tested on Geekbench v5, Surface Duo managed to pull off 1,071 points in the single-core test and 3,166 points in the multi-core test. The device boots Android 11 out of the box.
Last month, the alleged Microsoft Surface Duo 2 was seen in a YouTube video that revealed the complete design. As per the leak, the phone may have a vertical camera array on the back housing three sensors. It is likely to come in Blue and Black color options with a matte finish. Like the original Surface Duo, the Surface Duo 2 may have two separate displays joined by a 360-degree rotating hinge.
Microsoft is yet to confirm the arrival of Surface Duo 2. However, it is rumored to launch in October this year. We’ll get to know more about the device once we get close to the launch.
