Microsoft has just launched the Surface Laptop Studio at their launch event Surface today. The Surface Laptop Studio is meant to be a laptop cum tablet that is very powerful as well as highly portable. It presents a total redesign for Microsoft’s flagship laptop. Microsoft also says that this is highly optimized for their upcoming operating system Windows 11 and the device is focused on creators.

“Surface Laptop Studio is the most powerful Surface we’ve ever built,” says Pete Kyriacou, vice president of devices at Microsoft. “It is the culmination of years of Surface innovation – on hinges, display, silicon, and more – and brings the best of the Surface heritage together in one powerhouse device.”

The most evident change this year is that there is now a larger 14.4″ PixelSense display on the device. That is not all though. It also features an ultra-smooth 120Hz refresh rate display. The hinge this time around has also been refined allowing them to create “Stage mode”. As for the internals, the laptop is a complete flagship device and features top-end specifications, unlike some older Surface devices. It is powered by Intel’s 11th gen processors that give it one of the best performances on the market. Since this device has been made with creators first, it features some insane graphics performance. This laptop comes with Nvidia’s latest GeForce RTX 3050ti graphics cards.

Some other features include a Precision Haptic Touchpad, Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and support for the brand’s latest Surface Slim Pen 2. Everything about this laptop from the internals to the haptics on the touchpad have been made specifically for Windows 11.

Microsoft has not given any details about the pricing yet but this device will be out on October 5 alongside the All-New Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 11.

The Surface Laptop Studio is the perfect device for power users who want a portable experience and is sure to be successful alongside their all-new operating system!
