Mi TV Extreme Edition and Mi TV ES 2022 launched in China

Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition has a 3D LUT film industrial-grade color correction technology and is powered by the MediaTek MT9950 chipset.

Xiaomi has officially unveiled its new two new smart TV at a launch event held today (28th June 2021) in China. The event included the launch of Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition and the new Mi TV ES 2022.

The company is confident in its hardware offering with the new TVs.They have designed a hardware algorithm to optimize and offer all-around higher picture quality. The Premium smart TV features a thin and light design. It sports a 3D LUT film industrial-grade color correction technology and runs on an enhanced version of the MediaTek MT9950 chipset.

The Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition supports IMAX Enhanced that can be used as a large gaming display running on a 120Hz refresh rate and even offers 120Hz MEMC. On the front, it features a 48MP dual AI camera that lets the users make video calls. The Mi TV 6 features a 100-watt audio system for seamless entertainment.

The Mi TV Extreme Edition backlight partitions inch-wise in LCD panels.

  • 100 backlight partitions on the 55-inch model.
  • 224 backlight partitions on the 65-inch model.
  • 255 backlight partitions on the 75-inch model

The display aids a 4K resolution with a 97 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. 178 degree wide viewing angle. As for the connectivity, the smart TV features dual-band WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. Remarkably, the TV also features Dolby Vision HDR certification. In the case of memory and storage, the TV features 4GB of RAM and 64Gb of internal storage.

  • 55-inch – 5,999 Yuan (Rs 69,000).
  • 65-inch – 7,999 Yuan (Rs 92,000).
  • 75-inch – 9,999 Yuan (Rs 1,15,000).

The Mi TV ES 2022 is another TV that is unveiled at the launch event. The Premium smart TV features a multi-zone backlight system and offers a maximum brightness of 700nits. This TV runs on MediaTek MT9638 chip and houses a two-channel 12.5W four-unit speaker system that supports stereo playbacks as well.

The Mi TV ES 2022 has a 97 percent screen-to-body ratio that features a thin and light design. The smart TV will arrive with a built-in XiaoAI voice assistant. Similar to the former, the ES 2022 also offers a 4K resolution along with a 94 percent color DCI-P3 gamut. In the case of memory and storage, the TV features 2GB of RAM and 32Gb of internal storage. As for the connectivity, the smart TV features WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0.

55-inch – 3,399 Yuan (Rs 39,000),
65-inch – 4,399 Yuan (Rs 50,000),
75-inch – 5,999 Yuan (Rs 69,000).
