Its been 10 days into 2021 and Xiaomi has already stepped up its game. A new Xiaomi phone was spotted on the BIS certification website yesterday. The model number M2101K9AI is attached to the phone that is believed to be Mi Lite 11 and has received BIS certification yesterday. This information was retained by a known tipster Mukul Sharma tweet posted yesterday.
Mi Lite 11 is a stripped-down version of the flagship Mi 11. The launch of the phone in India must be imminent after spotting it on the BIS certification website. Here is the tweet by Mukul Sharma mentioning the same.
Earlier this month, the specifications and price of the Mi Lite 11 were also hinted at by Vietnamese YouTuber The Pixel, on his YouTube channel. Moreover, it was also spotted on the FCC certification website. All these developments only lead to the conclusion that the launch of the phone is imminent.
Specifications
Coming down to the specifications, the phone is believed to have quite similar features to the Mi 11, considering it’s a watered-down version of the same. It will run an upper-mid-range processor and be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G SoC, but this also means that the phone will be lacking 5G connectivity. This also opens up the possibility of another Mi 11 variant featuring 5G connectivity, which is missed herein. The 4G smartphone is also tipped to have 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Talking about the display, the smartphone is said to come with an IPS LCD panel along with a refresh rate of 120Hz. This also means that we can’t expect an onscreen fingerprint panel, owing to the IPS display, but it opens up the possibility of a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Coming to the camera functions, the smartphone boasts of a triple-rear camera setup, consisting of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro lens. A 16MP front camera is also provided for selfies and more.
As for the battery, the phone features a 4,150mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Additionally, the phone will come with Android 11 OS, Bluetooth 5.1 and dual-band Wi-Fi. Talking about the exterior, the phone is said to come in hues of Black and Blue.

Moving on to the pricing of the Mi 11 Lite, as per the YouTuber, the phone is supposed to cost approximately about VND 75,00,000-800,000 which makes up roughly around Rs 23,000-25,000. This pricing is for the basic variant. As of the launch, the YouTuber expects the phone to launch in Vietnam in March. But considering recent events regarding the phone’s certification, the launch in India may take place around late January or early February.
