Later this year, Apple is planning to expand its Mac product line. Apple is rumored to be releasing new MacBook Air and Pro models with a faster processor. The M1 chip, which was first introduced on the 2020 MacBookAir and Pro models, was recently introduced on the 2021 iMac. It includes not only the SoC but also other internal components. According to a new Bloomberg report, the redesigned MacBook Pro models will be released this summer. A new MacBook Air, a “low-end” MacBook Pro, and a Mac Pro are also on the way from Apple. Apple is getting ready to introduce a slew of new MacBook products. The new MacBook Pro will be available in summer 2021.
According to Bloomberg, the new MacBook Pro will come with a more powerful processor. Two Pro models will be released by the company. The codename for the 14-inch model is J314, while the codename for the 16-inch model is J316. Magnetic charging and a redesigned chassis will be included in the models. Both models will have multiple ports, including an HDMI port and an SD card slot.
For the new Pro models, Apple will also release two different chips. The codenames for these are Jade C-Chop and Jade C-Die. Eight high-performance cores and two energy-efficient cores will be found on both chips. The GPU will be the deciding factor. According to the report, both models will have 16 or 32 GPU cores. The M1 chip, on the other hand, had four performance cores and four efficiency cores. It has eight graphics cores as well. In addition, the new chip will support up to 64GB of RAM, compared to 16GB on the current M1 chip.
A new MacBook Air with an upgraded chip codenamed Stalen will also be released. The M2 will have the same number of computing cores as this chip, but it will be faster. Recently, design renders of the upcoming Air model were leaked. It will be available in new colours, similar to those found on the 24-inch iMac M1. A new Mac mini, codenamed J374, is also in the works. It will be powered by the same chip as the upcoming MacBook Pro and will have four USB ports.
Next year, the Mac Pro will be upgraded. The Mac Pro will be released in 2022. It will have two processors, one of which will be twice as powerful as the new high-end MacBook Pro chip, and the other will be four times as powerful. Jade 2C-Die and Jade 4C-Die are the codenames for these two chips. It will be available with up to 20 or 40 computing cores. Graphics would be available in 64 core or 128 core configurations on the chips.
