Just weeks after launching it in South Korea, LG has finally announced its 2022 Gram lineup of Laptops alongside its new Gram +view portable display that will be hitting the global markets soon.

That said, here’s everything that you need to know about the LG 2022 Gram lineup of Laptops which will all be powered by Intel’s 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs and discrete GPUs.

Design & Build Quality

Starting from the outside, the LG Gram is still very similar to its predecessor with the Gram 14 being the lightest of them all at a weight of 999 grams. Meanwhile, the Gram 17 and 16 are still pretty lightweight at a weight of 1.43 kilograms accounting for their larger battery and a discrete GPU.

But it should be noted that LG Gram’s ultra-lightweight design doesn’t compromise on its overall built quality or performance, with all the laptops tested to meet the MIL-STD-810G standard, a U.S. military standard that certifies certain equipment as field-ready with several tests that simulate a variety of environmental conditions, including shock, vibration, and more.

Display

Coming to the displays, laptops including the LG Gram 17, 16 and 16 2-in-1 all feature a Quad HD+ (2560×1600) 16:10 panel, whereas the Gram 14 and 14 2-in-1 have a Full HD+ (1920×1200) 16:10 panel, with the only exception out of the seven being the Gram 15 which offers a Full HD panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Additionally, as you would expect from any convertible, both the Gram 14 2-in-1 and 16 2-in-1 support touch and pen input using Wacom AES 2.0 drivers.

Internal Specifications

As for its internal specifications, all the new LG Gram laptops pack P-series Intel core 12th Gen processors starting from Core i3 up to i7, which offers great performance with a maximum TDP of 28W. Meanwhile, the performance is enhanced even further thanks to its super-fast LPDDR5 RAM.

Apart from the CPU, this time around LG is also giving users the choice to configure the LG Gram 17 and 16 with an optional Nvidia GeForce RTX 2050 discrete GPU which takes us to its battery life. As the new models with a discrete GPU have a larger 90Whr battery as opposed to the 80Whr battery found on the standard models.

Software & Other Features

Finally, coming to its software all the new laptops ship with the latest build of Windows 11 and some additional other software and hardware features including:

  • Glance by Mirametrix – a software feature that allows the display to be blurred or turned off when the user looks away from it.
  • PCmover Professional, a file transfer tool designed to help users move their data from their old PC to their new one with ease.
  • Full HD webcam with IR support for Windows Hello across the while lineup.

As for is pricing and availability, LG’s new lineup of 2022 Gram laptops will be available in major markets across North America, Europe, and Asia beginning in the second quarter of this year.

The LG Gram 16 which has been already launched in Korea starts at 2.29 million won (Approx. Rs. 1,43,520) for the Core i5/16GB/256GB model and LG Gram 17 starts at 2.39 million won (Approx. Rs. 1,49,820) for the i5/16GB/256GB model and will be available in 3 colour options: white, black and charcoal with pricing for other models to be announced soon.

Aside from the laptops, LG also launched its new Gram +View IPS Portable Monitor which costs $349.99 (Rs. 26,780 approx.). The new monitor that is designed to help with multi-tasking has the same IPS panel found on the Gram 16 with its 16:10 aspect ratio and connects via a USB Type-C cable.
