iQOO Z5x has been in the rumor for a while, whose arrival is now officially confirmed by the company. Through a post on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, the Chinese brand announced that the iQOO Z5x will launch on October 20 in China. It will be the second member in the Z5 series after iQOO Z5, which was launched last month.

The launch poster teases iQOO Z5x’s rear design, showing a rectangular camera module housing two sensors. An event page for the device is already live on the iQOO’s China website. It reveals that the iQOO Z5x will be available in orange and black color options. It has a battery capacity of 5,000mAh. Since there is no fingerprint scanner on the power button or the rear side, it should be embedded under the display.
Ahead of the launch, the iQOO Z5x has passed through TENAA, Geekbench, and 3C certification, which have revealed plenty of details about the phone. The Geekbench listing suggests that the phone could be powered by the Dimensity 900 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. TENAA listing suggests that there’ll also be an 8GB RAM variant.
