Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO through a post on Chinese microblogging site Weibo revealed that the iQOO Z5 will launch on September 23 in China. The launch level will go live on September 23 at 2:30 PM local time. In a separate Weibo post, the brand has confirmed that iQOO Z5 will be powered by Snapdragon 778G 5G SoC, which is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 768G in iQOO Z3.
The teaser also confirms that the iQOO Z5 comes with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The device has the model number V2148A which was recently spotted on Google Play Console with some key specifications. It revealed that the phone has a 1080×2400 pixels FullHD+ display, 8GB RAM, and Android 11 OS.
The Google Play Console listing also revealed the front render of the phone, showing a curved panel with a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The device was recently spotted on China’s 3C certification website with 44W fast charging support. The upcoming iQOO Z5 is said to feature a 120Hz refresh rate and 5000mAh battery. It is said to have a 64MP triple camera setup on the back.
According to a Chinese tipster @WHYLAB, iQOO might unveil iQOO Z5 Pro and iQOO Z5x alongside the iQOO Z5 on September 23. The Pro model is said to be powered by Snapdragon 778G SoC, while the iQOO Z5x could be powered by Dimensity 900 chipset.
