Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO announced the iQOO U5 this week as the company’s latest mid-range in China. The company didn’t reveal its pricing and release at the launch, which have now been revealed as the devices are up for pre-order.
iQOO U5 price, sale date
The first sale of iQOO U5 has been scheduled to commence on January 1, 2022. The phone is listed on the website in three RAM options – 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB. Coming to the pricing part, the 4GB RAM variant is priced at 1,299 Yuan (roughly Rs 15,500), the 6GB RAM variant is priced at 1,399 Yuan (roughly Rs 16,500), and the 8GB RAM variant for 1,499 Yuan (roughly Rs 17,100). The device comes in three colour options – Magic Blue, Silver White, and Dark Black.
iQOO U5 specifications
The iQOO U5 brings a 6.58-inch AMOLED screen with FullHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. It has an 8MP selfie shooter inside the waterdrop notch, whereas the rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary shooter and a 2MP macro lens.
The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset, which is paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. It boots Android 11-based iQOO UI 1.0 skin and features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated with the power button. The iQOO phone has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging through a USB Type-C port.
