iQOO Neo6 has launched today in China as the company’s latest mid-range phone with 5G connectivity. It is a solid upgrade over the last year’s iQOO Neo5 that came with Snapdragon 870 chipset. The new iQOO Neo series phone is powered by none other than Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The smartphone features a 64MP triple camera setup, a 120Hz AMOLED screen, and supports 80W fast charging.
Alongside the Neo6, the Chinese brand also announced iQOO Extreme Wind Cooling Back Clip Pro, which reduces the heat during gaming while the device is plugged into the adapter. iQOO also launched a 44W Flash Charge Power Bank that can fill up the iQOO Neo6’s battery from 0 to 50% in just 18 minutes.
iQOO Neo6 pricing, availability
iQOO Neo6 starts at CNY 2,799 (~Rs 33,500) for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The device also comes in an 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option for CNY 2,999 (~Rs 35,900) and the top-end 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option costs CNY 3,299 (~Rs 40,000).
The smartphone is offered in blue, black, and orange colour options. The first sale of iQOO Neo6 will be held in China on April 20. At the launch, the brand did not announce whether or not the Neo6 would launch in other markets.

iQOO Neo6 design, specifications
iQOO Neo6 has a textured back for the black colour option, while the other two colour options have a leather back. The smartphone features a rectangular camera module on the back with three sensors and an LED flash. The power and volume buttons are placed on the right. We see a punch-hole display with slim bezels on the front side, offering a high screen-to-body ratio.
The latest iQOO Neo series phone has a 6.62-inch FullHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1300nits. The high touch sampling rate of 1200Hz is a plus point for gaming. The fingerprint sensor is placed under the display.
Performance on the iQOO Neo6 is ensured by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, which is coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device also supports up to 4GB of virtual RAM expansion.
iQOO has added an additional chip inside the device, which they call Independent Display Chip Pro. As claimed by the brand, it will reduce power consumption and heat to achieve a stable frame rate even on a long gaming session. The heat management system inside the phone is made up of rare earth metal alloy, a six-layer 3D graphite structure, and a large Vapor Chamber soaking plate.
iQOO Neo6 is equipped with a triple camera setup on the back, including a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW1P primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP portrait lens. On the front, there’s a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calls.
The iQOO phone is backed by a 4,700mAh battery. It supports 80W fast wired charging, which can fill up the battery by 30% in just 5 minutes, claimed by the brand.
Connectivity and others
iQOO Neo6 has connectivity features like 5G, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. It has all the necessary sensors like a gyroscope, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, accelerometer, and proximity sensor. The handset measures 163×76.16×8.5mm and weighs around 194g.
