Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO has added a new smartphone in the iQOO Neo 5 series lineup – iQOO Neo 5 Vitality Edition. The iQOO Neo 5 Vitality Edition is a mid-range smartphone and effectively cheaper than the Neo 5. Key specifications include a 6.57-inch LCD display with 144Hz refresh rate which is an upgrade from the 120Hz AMOLED display on the Neo 5, under the hood it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, a triple-camera setup on the back with a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 4,500mAh battery with fast-charging support up to 44W. The iQOO Neo 5 Vitality Edition is priced at RMB 2,299(approx Rs.26,040) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant, RMB 2,499(approx. Rs 28,300) for the 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage variant, and RMB 2,699(approx. Rs 30,570) for the top-end variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone comes in two color options- Midnight Black and Ice White. As of now, the phone is available in China but we can expect an international launch soon. Stay tuned for that.

The iQOO Neo 5 Vitality Edition features a 6.57-inch LCD(2,408 x 1,080 pixels resolution) with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 1,500:1 contrast ratio, a punch-hole cut-out, and the display is also HDR10 certified. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC which is based on the 7nm fabrication process paired with Adreno 650 GPU, up to 12GB of fast LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB of fast UFS 3.1 internal storage. The smartphone also comes with 3GB of virtual RAM. As for the software it comes with Android 11 out of the box with OriginOS skin on top.

As for the cameras, the smartphone houses a triple-camera setup on the back with a 48-megapixel primary sensor accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front, it houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera in the top right corner with a punch-hole design for selfies and video chats. The smartphone is fueled by a 4,500mAh battery with fast-charging support of up to 44W. As for security, the smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

As for the connectivity, the smartphone has stereo speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C port for charging and data transfer and come with connections such as 4G, 5G, Dual Sim, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and Beidou/GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO/QZSS.
