Awaited India launch of the iQOO 9 series does not look too far from here as the brand has officially started teasing its arrival in the country. The teasers posted by iQOO on its Twitter account does not reveal a launch date. But, thanks to a leak by PassionateGeekz, which shows an official-looking poster for the iQOO 9 series, revealing the India launch date and more details.
According to the leaked poster, the iQOO 9 series will launch in India on February 23. The company is likely to unveil three devices under the next iQOO series – iQOO 9 SE, iQOO 9, and iQOO 9 Pro. The retail box of iQOO 9 Pro 5G is said to have a printed price of Rs 74,990. However, it might be available at a price of around Rs 55,000 to 58,000.
The vanilla iQOO 9 is said to cost is available in 43,000 to Rs 47,000 price segment, while the iQOO 9 SE could fall under the price segment of 35,000 – Rs40,000. Past reports believe that the iQOO 9 SE for the Indian market could be a rebranded iQOO Neo 5s, which was launched in China last year with Snapdragon 888 SoC. The iQOO 9 coming to India is again a rebranded version of the Chinese iQOO 8 5G, and the Pro model could come with some tweaks from the Chinese iQOO 9 Pro.
Last year, Vivo-backed iQOO launched the iQOO 8 and 8 Pro in China, and none of them came to India. So, it seems that the company is looking to bring both the iQOO 8 and 9 series in India, by rebranding the iQOO 8 (Chinese variant) to iQOO 9.
