iQOO 9 Pro Teased to Feature Curved AMOLED Screen, 1500nits Brightness, and More

iQOO 9 Pro launching next month with 120Hz curved AMOLED display, 120W fast charging, and more.

iQOO 9 series is all set to launch on January 5 in China. Following a general trend that we see with most smartphone launches, iQOO also highlights the specifications of its upcoming devices as we are getting closer to the launch. The latest teaser posted on Weibo reveals everything about the iQOO 9 Pro display.

The teasers confirm that the iQOO 9 Pro has a Samsung’s E5 curved AMOLED display with LTPO technology for various refresh rates. It has slim bezels and features a centred punch-hole cutout to house the selfie shooter. The panel supports a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It offers a 1000Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit colour support, 517ppi pixel density, and a maximum screen brightness of 1500nits.

The smartphone is now confirmed to be equipped with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, a slightly advanced fingerprint unlocking mechanism that works even with dirty fingers. Moreover, the iQOO 9 Pro has a sim card tray, a microphone, an USB Type-C port, and a speaker grille at the bottom.

Recent teasers have confirmed that the iQOO 9 Pro packs a 4,700mAh battery and supports 120W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The device flaunts a triple camera setup, which, according to recent leaks, includes a 50MP Samsung GN5 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide lens with a 150-degree field-of-view, and a 16MP telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom and OIS. Again, there will be a BMW-edition iQOO 9 series phone.
