iQOO 8 series is confirmed to debut in China on August 17. The company will introduce two phones in the iQOO 8 lineup – the vanilla iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro. There will also be a BMW Motorsport Edition in the series, as seen in a leaked poster. The iQOO 8 is rumored to carry model number V2141A which has now appeared on the benchmarking site Geekbench along with some key specifications.
As per the Geekbench listing, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC which has one core clocked at 3.0GHz. The SoC is coupled with 8GB RAM. The phone is also said to have a 12GB variant. It boots Android 11 out of the box which is likely to come with OriginOS at the top. When benchmarked on Geekbench, the V2141A or alleged iQOO 8 managed to score 1133 points in the single-core test and 3696 points in the multi-core test.
iQOO 8 is confirmed to have 120W fast wired charging support along with 50W wireless charging. The Pro model also supports 10W reverse wireless charging. The iQOO 8 series phone will feature a triple camera setup on the back. Camera specs of the vanilla model are not revealed yet, but the Pro model is confirmed to feature a 50MP primary shooter + 48MP ultra-wide sensor + 16MP sensor triple rear cameras.
iQOO 8 is confirmed to feature a 2K Samsung E5 AMOLED LTPO display with 517 PPI pixel density, and 10-bit color support. The phone is said to offer virtual RAM support on the 12GB variant.
