It is almost the end of the year and we have a quick recap of India’s most-watched movies and series on Netflix 2020. All thanks to COVID and Netflix StreamFest, Indian subscribers have the highest viewership of films compared to any other country. As per the company, 80% of the subscribers in India tend to watch at least one film per week. Looking at the instantaneous growth of the subscribers in India, viewership has also grown across the board as well. Not to ignore the sudden leap of 370% year-by-year growth of K-dramas, followed by romantic stories and nonfictional series with a 250% increase. Engagement on documentaries and kid’s shows doubled as well.

Following are the winners of some of the selective categories of series and movies on Netflix India 2020.

Jamtara, a web-series about a phishing scam, spent the highest amount of “Top 10” for any Indian title. Dark, a German science-fiction series spent 95 days on “Top 10” in India whereas the Spanish series Money Heist featured a whopping 170 days!
