How to Use Google Chrome’s Tab Grouping Feature on Android

Recently Google has come up with a fresh update that will permit the chrome users on Android devices to open tabs in grid view. The update also supports group tabs whenever the users have more pages open on the chrome browser. According to the reports, Tab groups is said to be one of the best features accessible on chrome browsers for desktop. Google has added the same feature to the Android version as well, to make browsing even more convenient. Let’s have a closer view of the Tab grouping on Chrome.

How is it different?

The vertical arrangement of the Tab has been replaced by the new grid layout on the Chrome browser which is even tinier than the previous one, as per the company. But on the positive side, you can browse more than one page at a time. Previously, the vertical tab used to cap other cards which eventually created confusion. How to Use The New Grid Layout for Android

As per the report from 9to5Google, The updated layout is currently available on the devices which have already been using Chrome. The only thing you got to do is to update your present Chrome to the latest Chrome version. If you still are unable to initiate the update, then you want to activate the layout manually. 

Here are a few steps that you can follow

-> First and foremost, open the Google Chrome browser on your Android smartphone.

-> Now, you can browse ‘chrome://flags/#enable-tab-grid-layout’ in a browser

-> Restart your app twice and Voila! you’re good to go.

-> You can now see the latest grid layout on the Chrome browser.

Congratulations! you can now relish the new group tab feature by dragging and placing tabs on one another to create groups. It is kind of similar to how you place apps on your home screen to make new folders. Just drag and drop the tabs you want on each other. You can even create separate groups for all the different tabs. You can still see the tabs in the layout, even if you are dragging and dropping the tabs.
