How to Turn on Dark Mode in Google Docs

Here's how you can turn on dark mode in google docs.

The Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slide applications all support dark themes, which is great news for dark mode fans. In addition to conserving battery life, a dark theme is also gentle on the eyes, making it less uncomfortable to look at your device’s screen. To understand how to enable “dark mode” on Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, go to this guide.

Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets are now available in dark mode on Android devices. This is a relatively new feature, so you may not see it right away, but rest assured that it will be available soon.

  • In the address bar of Google Chrome, type chrome://flags/#enable-force-dark to enable the feature.
  • Force Dark Mode for Web Contents will be disabled in your browser. Activate this option and relaunch Google Chrome afterward to take advantage of it.
