The Indian Government is now initiating the second phase, with the completion of the first phase of coronavirus vaccination for front-line workers and health care executives. The second phase has the world’s largest inoculation drive against COVID-19 has already begun as of 1st March 2021. 

Who all will be benefitted in the second phase? 

This time, people above the age of 45 who are co-morbid and the citizens above 60 will be eligible for vaccination. These vaccinations will be done at the registered government and private centers. 

The said eligible category will be able to register to get the vaccination via the Co-WIN 2.0 portal. Co-WIN is integrated with the government’s official Aarogya Setu app. So, if you fall under the eligible criteria, register for vaccination today via the Co-WIN Android app, the Co-WIN 2.0 web portal, or the Aarogya Setu app.

How to register with Co-WIN 2.0?

To register yourself for COVID-19 vaccination in India via  Co-WIN 2.0, follow these steps: 

Step 1: Open the Aarogya Setu App, Co-WIN Vaccinator app on Android or iOS, or simply visit

Step 2: Through the navigation bar on the top, go to the CoWIN tab.

Step 3: Go to Vaccination and proceed with tapping Register Now.

*Note: The above-mentioned steps are the same for all three methods of registering (Step 1)

Step 4: Enter your mobile number and click ‘Proceed to Verify’ in order to receive the OTP.

Step 5: After the OTP verification, register for vaccination by following the on-screen instruction. Upload the necessary documents and easily schedule an appointment for the vaccination. You will receive a confirmation message on the registered mobile number. 

You can register for COVID-19 vaccination for up to individuals via one smartphone. The citizens can choose a preferred date, time, and vaccination center via the Co-WIN 2.0.

What is the cost of getting a COVID-19 vaccination? 

If you are looking to get vaccinated in a registered government center, it will be free of cost. However, private centers may charge you about Rs. 250 per vaccination. 

Is there another method to register for COVID-19 vaccination? 

Well, yes, if you don’t know how to register via the application or don’t have a smartphone, simply call on 1507.
