Honor is launching a new Play 5 smartphone, expanding its Play 5 series. In a recent announcement, the company confirmed that its upcoming smartphone will be released on May 18. The invitation indicates some important specifications and designs of the device.
The display will feature a water-drop notch with slim bezels surrounding it. A square camera module will be found on the phone’s rear panel housing four camera sensors. Specifications of the device have previously been leaked. It is rumored to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC and come with 66W fast charging support.
As per previous leaks, the Honor Play 5 will boast a 6.53-inch FHD+ OLED display. There’s no information on the refresh rate of the screen, however, we do expect it to come with a 90hz panel at least.
The phone is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC. As for the optics, the phone might feature a 64megapixel primary, an 8-megapixel secondary ultrawide, and dual 2-megapixel depth and macro sensors.
The battery capacity has been revealed to be sized at 3,800 mAh battery and come with support for 66W fast charging. Moreover, the phone will measure 7.46mm in thickness and weigh 179 grams.
