Honor Play 30 Plus 5G has been launched in China as the company’s latest budget-friendly device in the country. It was unveiled yesterday alongside the Honor X30 series, which belongs to the mid-range category. The newly-announced budget phone packs dual rear cameras, a 5,000mAh battery, and a Dimensity 700 chipset. Let’s get more into the Honor Play 30 Plus 5G price and specifications.

The Honor Play 30 Plus 5G price starts at CNY 1,099 (~Rs 13,200) for the base 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. There’s also a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and a 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option priced at CNY 1,299 (~Rs 15,600) and CNY 1,499 (~Rs 18,000), respectively. The smartphone is already up for pre-order. However, the sales will kick off starting December 31.

The entry-level 5G phone flaunts a 6.74-inch TFT LCD panel with 1600 x 720 pixels HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and a 90.07% screen-to-body ratio. The phone houses two large circular cutouts inside the camera module and an LED flash unit. Each circle has one sensor, resulting in a dual-camera setup, which includes a 13MP primary shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. There’s a 5MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

Honor has equipped with the Play 30 Plus 5G phone with the Dimensity 700 5G chipset. The device boots Magic UI 5.0 skin, based on Android 11. It has a 5,000mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging. Connectivity features include Bluetooth v5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. There’s also a microSD card slot that lets you add more storage to the phone. The new Honor phone will be offered in four colour options – Black, Blue, Gold, and Silver.
