The iOS 15.4 update brought several major upgrades to iPhones with the main highlight being the ability to use Face ID with a mask on and without an Apple watch. Though the iOS 15.4 added useful features, it was stressful for many users as they were facing a major battery drain issue, which we pointed out last week.

Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max, which is quite popular for offering stunning battery life, was also reportedly facing battery issues after updating to iOS 15.4. A user of the same device on Twitter said, “I could go for days without charging, but it’s down to half capacity by mid day”. The issue is not limited to iPhone 13 series, as many iPhone 12 series users were also facing the fast battery draining issue.

In the post published last week, we mentioned that battery-related issue after installing an update is common, as the device takes a few days to adjust itself. And, Apple’s response to the iOS 15.4 battery issue is pretty much the same.

In response to a user on Twitter about the issue, Apple Support said, “Thanks for reaching out! We’ll be happy to help. It’s normal for your apps and features to need to adjust up to 48 hours after an update. Let’s have you reach out to us in a DM if this is still an issue after that time so we can help you look into this further.”

This was Apple’s response to the iOS 15.4 battery issue. The company is simply advising users to wait for two days to let the iOS 15.4 update adjust on their phone.

Apple continues to work to improve iPhone’s battery life. Each new generation of Apple iPhones generally provides better life than its predecessor. And, the iPhone 13 Pro Max has probably the best battery life on any iPhone. To take it even further, Apple suggests some steps to maximize battery life. You can read more about it here.
