Oppo’s F-series release schedule is all over the map, so we now have the Oppo F19 Pro duo in less than a year. The beefier Plus model is now in the spotlight. It has a more powerful chipset, a marginally better build, and faster charging than its less expensive non-Plus counterpart.
A quick glance at the specifications shows well-balanced hardware led by the Dimensity 800U 5G and a vivid, Super AMOLED monitor. By today’s standards, the battery appears to be lagging behind, and the fact that the panel caps at 60Hz might turn off some potential buyers. Hopefully, the 50W quick charging would compensate for the cell’s low capacity to some degree.

However, as is customary with Oppo smartphones, the price tag would be the most difficult hurdle. With prices starting around INR 24,000, the phone faces stiff competition from Xiaomi and Realme, both of which offer competitive and potentially better versions at lower prices.
The devil is said to be in the specifics, and we tend to agree. That’s why we spent time with the F19 Pro+ 5G to get a sense of how it feels in person. It’s not all about the specifications. Oppo, for example, is especially pleased with the design and ergonomics of the F19 Pro+ 5G. Despite the fact that the construction does not seem to be out of the ordinary, the chassis weighs just 173g and is just 7.8mm thick.
