Halo Infinite Release Date Announced – The next game in Microsoft’s long-running franchise, Halo Infinite, will be released on December 8th, according to a date posted on the Microsoft Store today. During the opening of Gamescom, Microsoft officially confirmed the date and released a new cinematic trailer.
Microsoft had planned to release Halo Infinite alongside the Xbox Series X / S in November 2020, but the game was pushed back to fall 2021 due to the difficulties of developing a game during the pandemic.
Halo Infinite Release Date
The announcement comes just days after 343 Industries announced that Halo Infinite will not include campaign co-op or Forge. Halo Infinite’s cooperative play with teammates should appear in season two, roughly three months after the game’s release. Halo Infinite’s Forge mode, which allows players to modify and share maps, won’t be available until season three, almost six months after the game’s release.
Fans of Halo’s campaign co-op and Forge mode were naturally dismayed when they heard of the announcement. However, the main campaign and multiplayer mode for Halo Infinite will be released on December 8th. Microsoft has announced Halo Infinite Xbox Series X Console and Elite Controllers with Halo Infinite aesthetic alongside the new game.
