Google Pixel 6a Aluminium Dummy Phone Leaked

Google Pixel 6a Aluminium Dummy

Google Pixel 6 series was probably the most leaked smartphone of 2021. Pixel’s legacy of being leaked before the launch continues with the Pixel 6a, the successor to Google’s budget “a” series smartphones. Renders of the Pixel 6a already surfaced on the internet last month. We have images of the Pixel 6a dummy phone made out of aluminium.

A collaboration between Fathom Bracelets and xleaks7 (David Kowalski) reveals the images of this aluminium dummy. The renders leaked earlier, and the aluminium dummy match and this strengthens our hope that the Pixel 6a will get a significant redesign compared to its predecessors.

The dummy matches the renders, and usually, dummy phones are used by accessory makers. However, we are not sure where this dummy came from and so ask you to take these details with a grain of salt. It has volume rockers and a power button to its right side. At the bottom of the device, we have a USB-C port and two speaker grilles, one at each side of the charging port. Of course, how can we forget the camera bump at the back.

The design of the Pixel 6 series is what makes it stand out from the rest. If Google decides to go with the same camera visor design even on the “a” series, it will be a refreshing design in the sub USD 400-500 price category.

The renders leaked last month also reveal thick bezels like the Pixel 6. Yes, it has a prominent chin and Pixel devices had almost symmetrical bezels with the Pixel 5. However, Change is inevitable, so you decide if this move is in the right direction or not.
