Google has officially confirmed the Pixel 6 series although the company has not revealed a specific launch date yet. As announced by the company, the Pixel 6 lineup includes two phones – Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. While we wait for an official launch date from the brand, a Weibo tipster Bald Panda has revealed the possible launch date for Google Pixel 6 series. According to them, the devices will launch on September 13. As there is no way to confirm the leak, it is advised to take the info with a pinch of salt.
September month is fully packed with some of the most awaited smartphone launches. It also includes iPhone 13 series, which is rumored to launch on September 14 or September 15. Samsung is also tipped to launch Galaxy S21 FE on September 8, and the Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi may unveil its flagship Mi 11T.
Pixel 6 will feature Tensor
Google has already confirmed that the upcoming Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will be powered by the company’s own Tensor chip. Rumors are that the chip has been developed in collaboration with Samsung. While Google has not divulged the internal details about the Tensor chip, it revealed that the new chip offers better AI and ML processing.
Google announced Pixel 6 and 6 Pro earlier this month through a blog post which also revealed the phone’s design. Both the phones share a similar design, however, the duo offers a different set of camera configurations. The Pixel 6 has two sensors on the back inside a large horizontal stripe, while the Pixel 6 Pro has three sensors.
Both the phones will boot Android 12 OS. The phone is said to have a 50MP Samsung GN1 sensor while details about other sensors are currently a mystery. According to a recent report, the Pixel 6 series will ship without a charger.
