Google pixel 4A now available in India but is it better than Oneplus Nord?

The Oneplus Nord is dominating the Indian smartphone market as it is the best mid-range smartphone that packs a punch at a very affordable price of Rs.25,000. But now Google has just launched There Pixel A4 in India at 32,000. Pixel 4A is now a direct competitor of OnePlus Nord in the Indian market as both offer great value at the almost same price.

 So let’s compare them in detail:

Oneplus Nord was first announced on 21st July 2020 and was launched on 4th august 2020 in India at a starting price of Rs. 25,000. whereas, Pixel 4A was first announced on 3rd August 2020 and was launched on 17th October 2020 at a starting price of Rs.31,000.

Both Oneplus Nord and pixel 4A are built in such a way that holding them in hand will give you a premium feel. The OnePlus Nord has a glass finish and glossy plastic design on the sides rather than the full glass finish found on other premium Oneplus devices. The screen has very thin bezels and having it in hand one would say it isn’t an overly huge or bulky phone it has a front-facing dual camera placed at the upper left corner but OnePlus allows you to turn off the notch by hiding the front camera in setting, it also has an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Nord does not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

On The other hand, the Google pixel 4A is completely made out of plastic with a concept of easy to hold the device with no frills, no fanciness, It has a display with very thin bezels and a hole punch style front camera it has a physical fingerprint scanner on the back where you also get your square style rear camera. Pixel 4A comes with a 5.5mm headphone jack which is very rare in nowadays smartphones.

The camera on OnePlus Nord and pixel 4A are different as the pixel 4A offers a 12-megapixel f /1.7single-lens camera just like last gen pixel phones that includes Night Sight, Super Res Zoom, and Live HDR+.

The Oneplus Nord has four lenses: a 48-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 5-megapixel portrait lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a dual-camera setup in front facing the camera with a 32 megapixel primary and 8-megapixel ultra wide angle group shot lens.

But at the end of the day, you will enjoy OnePlus Nord’s camera more as it provides more versatility than pixel 4a but the photo’s result will be much better on pixel 4A’s single shooter.

Oneplus Nord vs Pixel 4A Performance:

Both OnePlus Nord and Pixel 4A comes with Snapdragon 7-series, while the Nord has a snapdragon 765G chipset and Adreno 620 GPU with up to 8GB ram whereas pixel 4A has a snapdragon 730G chipset and Adreno 618 GPU with 6GB ram so in terms of benchmark the Nord wins all test. In Geekbench 5 Nord scores 1,948 and pixel 4A scores 1,647.

The pixel has a 3,140 mah battery which lasted about 8hr and 54 mins after a full charge whereas Nord has a 4,115 mah battery which lasted about 11hr and 12 mins after full charge as for charging Nord comes with 30-watt warp charging technology that charges Nord from 0% to 68% in just 30 mins whereas pixel comes with an 18-watt charger which charges it from 0% to 50% in 30 mins of charging. The worst part is neither of these devices supports fast charging.
