Free Netflix Plan Launched in Kenya

Netflix unveils that it will provide a free plan where users in Kenya can stream select content on Android devices. This was announced in a blog post by Netflix on Monday, the 20th of September.

Netflix, although a paid streaming service, does offer a one-month free trial. It also goes free on certain days in select regions. These are attractive methods to get users hooked onto watching shows and then when the trial ends, users will most probably pay to enjoy more of the service.

This time around though, Cathy Cook, Netflix’s director of product innovation said, “If you’ve never watched Netflix before — and many people in Kenya haven’t — this is a great way to experience our service. And if you like what you see, it’s easy to upgrade to one of our paid plans so you can enjoy our full catalogue on your TV or laptop as well.”
