Free Fire Crosses 1 Billion Downloads

Free Fire Crosses 1 Billion Downloads on Google Play Store – On the Google Play Store, Garena Free Fire has surpassed 1 billion downloads. It is the first battle royale game on Android to reach this milestone. The title was developed by 111 Dot Studio and published by Garena back in 2017.

This has become one of the most widely discussed subjects among gamers. On July 16, the Singaporean firm announced the news on its official LinkedIn page. In addition, the developer expressed gratitude to the Free Fire community and offered a special in-game event for August.

This is a significant accomplishment because just a limited number of mobile games have surpassed 1 billion downloads. Only casual games like Subway Surfers or Candy Crush could attain these levels on mobile previously, according to Niko Partners senior analyst Daniel Ahmad. “Today, core games like Free Fire can achieve the same user scale.”

Garena has yet to reveal how many downloads Free Fire received on the App Store and other third-party Android stores. It’s worth mentioning that PUBG Mobile, which is available on both Google Play and the App Store, surpassed 1 billion downloads in March.
