Apple held its fourth event of the year yesterday and has finally revealed the whole lineup of devices for the year 2021. The September ‘California Streaming’ event launched a new lineup of iPhones and a new iPad mini 6 as well as provided an upgrade to the 9.5″ iPad, while the more important ‘Unleashed’ October event was reserved for the new MacBook Pro and AirPods 3.
As you would expect, the star of the show was the newly upgraded 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pro featuring the new M1 Pro and M1 Max, the successors to the original M1 chip.
In terms of design and looks, both the 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pro feature a Notch up top to accommodate the 1080p webcam while providing thinner bezels for the new 120Hz Liquid Retina XDR display.
Both the new MacBook Pro features a totally new set of ports, including 3 Thunderbolt USB-C Ports, a new redesigned MagSafe port, a full-size SD card reader, and an HDMI port, making the MacBook Pro indeed something a professional would appreciate.
Apple also revealed the all-new AirPods 3, which feels like a replacement to the original AirPods at a price of USD 179; it comes with a slightly larger battery which provides six hours of more playback time. A 5-minute charge would allow for 1-hour of playback, and the case now supports wireless charging using MagSafe.

Apart from the new MacBook Pro and AirPods 3, Apple unveiled three new colors for the HomePod Mini, which now comes in yellow, orange, and blue, which will be made available to buy in November. Apple also introduced a new, cheaper Apple Music plan called Apple Music Voice, priced at USD 4.99. It allows the user to listen to music only by using Siri voice search, which comes down to personal preference, as most people prefer to type in their song searches.
However, Apple didn’t reveal any new Mac Mini, which was speculated to be released by many leakers. Overall, Apple has created a really great lineup of devices, and the new MacBook Pro is a must-have for any professional.
